Signature event to support Pediatric Feeding Disorder mission and advocacy

(September 16, 2024…Phoenix, AZ) Premier Southwest law firm Burch & Cracchiolo, P.A. is pleased to announce they will be the “Champion” sponsors of the Feeding Matters signature event “Feed the Cause.” The 3rd annual fundraising event will be held at Papago Golf Club on Thursday November 7th commencing at 5:30pm.

Founded in 2006 in Scottsdale by Shannon Goldwater, Feeding Matters is the first organization in the world devoted to accelerating identification, igniting research, promoting collaborative care, and encouraging awareness and understanding for pediatric feeding disorder. Pediatric Feeding Disorder (PFD) impacts 1 in 37 children. It is more prevalent than autism and cerebral palsy.

Burch & Cracchiolo partner and Feeding Matters executive board member Bucky Slomski has been involved with the organization since 2020. “I have been inspired by the dedication and commitment of everyone involved with Feeding Matters,” comments Slomski. “Until I became involved I had no idea of the prevalence and depth of the health issues and family disruption caused by Pediatric Feeding Disorder. Our mission is to educate parents, advocate for funding and inform the public at large of the issues and resources available for families.”

The event will include hearing real stories from families and children with PFD, voluntary taste tests where attendees will be invited to take part in a voluntary blind taste test to understand firsthand what children with PFD experience when it comes to trying different foods, live mixology demos learning how to make a signature drink using favorite ingredients from one of our families, food from the renowned team at Papago Golf Club and a full open bar, a silent auction to bid on exclusive items and experiences, and an opportunity to network and connect with like-minded individuals and community leaders.
