Burch & Cracchiolo names Angelica Abbey April Star Teacher Chandler educator brings the magic every day

(April 28, 2022…Phoenix, AZ) Burch & Cracchiolo proudly names Angelica Abbey the April  2022 Star Teacher. Abbey has been teaching 6th grade math for 5 years at Frye Elementary School in the Chandler Unified School District. Prior to becoming a teacher, she worked for Disney World in Orlando and she brings her own special brand of magic to her students every day.

Abbey received her B.A. in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University and her M.A. in Educational Administration from Grand Canyon University. She holds endorsements in Middle Grades English Language Arts and Structured English Immersion.

Abbey was nominated by her husband Evan who wrote:

My wife is the most hardworking and dedicated person I know. I watch her spend endless amounts of time and money on her students to help them succeed. She goes above and beyond for them and cares so deeply about each one of them. She goes to their events outside of school, even after they have moved on to junior high! She also organizes staff nights and fundraisers to help improve her school. Angelica is well-deserving of this award!

The school received an additional check for $250 accepted by Frye Elementary principal Alexis Freeman.  Frye is a pre-K through 6th grade Title 1 school with a current enrollment of 520 students.

A Valley teacher is chosen each month to receive $500 through a nominating process on the firm’s website www.bcattorneys.com. Nominations are accepted from students, former students and parents who wish to honor and thank a teacher who has had a profound impact on their life. Many teachers spend their own money to augment the costs of classroom supplies, field trips and other non-covered costs that arise throughout the school year. B&C hopes to alleviate that burden for one deserving teacher each month. In addition, the school where the educator teaches receives a check for $250 to be used at their discretion.

Nominations are open to all teachers in K-12 who teach in Maricopa County. Winners will be notified and then presented a check at their school by a member of Burch & Cracchiolo. Photos and/or video will be taken to post on the firm website and social media. To nominate go to www.bcattorneys.com, click on the “Nominate a Star Teacher” button and tell us why you think your teacher deserves the B&C Star Teacher Award.
