I’ve been practicing construction law in Arizona for 33 years. Before I moved to Arizona, I was a prosecutor in Manhattan for six years prosecuting violent street crime, which provided me with extensive trial experience. My practice now focuses exclusively on construction law and construction related litigation. I help businesses and individuals navigate the variety of disputes that may arise during a construction project. Sometimes parties have no choice but to litigate their claims, however my preference is to help parties minimize disputes by getting involved in the preparation of the contract documents so that the construction contract is fair and predictable and provides a mechanism for early dispute resolution if possible. When disputes cannot be readily resolved and an adversarial process is necessary, I have extensive experience handling a wide variety of construction issues, including: non-payment claims, mechanic’s and materialmen’s liens, delay claims, defects, design issues, bond claims, Registrar of Contractor complaints, and bid disputes. I regularly assist clients through alternative dispute resolution and, when necessary, litigation for claims of all sizes and complexities.
My goal is simple: provide my clients with the highest quality legal services I can, and do so with candor and integrity. That means not only sharing my knowledge and experience within my practice area, but always telling my clients what they need to hear and not merely what they want to hear. When I am not practicing law, I am an avid sports fan rooting on the Cardinals, Suns, Coyotes, Diamondbacks and the team of my youth the New York Yankees.
